Hotel laundry and dry cleaning in the Sydney CBD
You have a 9am on Martin Place and one clean shirt left in the case. HGL collects from your hotel concierge anywhere inside the 2000 grid, cleans everything at our own specialist facility, and returns it to reception pressed and bagged. Express runs from six hours, so a bag left before breakfast is usually back before the afternoon session.

Guest laundry in the Sydney CBD
More hotel beds than the rest of this list combined, and a Tuesday morning deadline to match
The Sydney CBD has more hotel rooms than every other precinct on this page put together, and a guest book that is overwhelmingly Monday-to-Thursday corporate. That shows up in what people actually book. It is not big weekly washes. It is two shirts, one suit and a jacket that has been folded in a case since Melbourne, all needed before a meeting that starts at nine. HGL collects from concierge desks on Martin Place, Pitt Street, George Street and York Street, cleans at our own facility rather than a subcontracted plant, and returns everything to reception pressed and bagged. Express starts at six hours.
The CBD is also the densest serviced-apartment market in the country. Five Meriton properties, plus Adina, A by Adina, Fraser Suites, SKYE and Oaks, all built for stays measured in weeks rather than nights. If you are on a long assignment, a standing weekly collection costs less than a single hotel laundry bill and takes one message to set up. We hold the window, you leave the bag at the same desk each time, and the price stays per item rather than per pickup.
Nothing about the booking depends on your hotel. You do not need your property to be an HGL partner, you do not need a corporate account, and there is no minimum order. Book online, tell us the hotel name and your room number, and leave the bag with the concierge inside the 7am to 7pm window. Wash and fold starts at $6.50 an item, dry cleaning at $15.00, press and steam at $8.00, and pickup and delivery is a flat $12 across the whole CBD. Every order carries hands-on garment care.
Hotels we service in the Sydney CBD
A daily route across the full CBD grid, from the Hyde Park frontage to the western edge on Kent and Sussex Streets.
Don't see your hotel? We still collect from it.
The list above is the properties we visit most often, not a limit. If your hotel, apartment building or short-stay address sits inside 2000 and someone at the front desk can hold a bag for an hour, we will collect from it. That includes the smaller boutique floors above George Street retail, the apartment towers on Liverpool and Bathurst Streets, and anything on the Hyde Park side of Elizabeth Street. Enter the hotel name at checkout and we will match it to the run. ---
Effortless for your guests
How a Sydney CBD pickup works
-
Book online
Pick your service, your collection window and your turnaround. Enter the hotel name and room number rather than the street address, because half the towers between Pitt Street Mall and Kent Street share a postcode and a lobby entrance on a different street to the one they advertise.
-
Leave it at the concierge
Put everything in a bag with your name and room number and hand it to the concierge or front desk any time between 7am and 7pm. You do not need to wait for the driver. Most CBD guests drop the bag on the way out to a meeting on Martin Place and think about it again at six.
-
We clean it properly
Everything is sorted, checked against care labels and processed at our own facility. Shirts are finished on a press rather than folded warm, suits are steamed on the shoulder line, and stains are treated separately before anything goes near a machine. Every order carries hands-on garment care.
-
Back to your hotel
Your order comes back to the same reception desk, pressed and bagged, ready to collect with your key. Express is six hours and the CBD is our fastest route, so a 9am collection off George Street is usually waiting for you by mid-afternoon.

Serving guests across the Sydney CBD
Our CBD route covers the full grid: the banking core around Martin Place and Hunter Street, the retail spine down Pitt Street Mall and George Street, the Wynyard and Town Hall station catchments, and the western edge along Kent, Clarence and Sussex Streets. We collect from the towers around the Queen Victoria Building, the Hyde Park frontage on College and Elizabeth Streets, and the World Square precinct, and we run the northern end past Australia Square and Bond Street on the same leg.
It is a weekday suburb with a weekend second act. Midweek is corporate and conference. Hilton Sydney, Sheraton Grand and Rydges World Square all run large function floors, and delegates tend to arrive with one suit and three days of meetings. Weekends bring domestic shopping and theatre guests, plus the pre-cruise crowd who have booked a city night before heading down to the water. Both halves of the week book the same thing in the end: something pressed by tonight.
The CBD does not really end where the maps say it does, and neither does our run. If you are on the harbour side we cover Circular Quay and The Rocks on their own daily legs, the western towers are handled out of Barangaroo, and anything south of Bathurst Street usually lands on the Haymarket route. Same pricing, same six-hour express window, same concierge handover.
Questions guests ask
Express turnaround is six hours, and the CBD is our fastest route because everything sits inside a few walkable blocks. A 9am concierge collection is typically back at reception by 3pm. Standard turnaround is next day and costs less, so if your meeting is tomorrow there is no reason to pay for express. Express availability is confirmed at booking and is subject to same-day capacity, which is tightest during large conferences at the Hilton and Rydges World Square function floors.
Yes. If you are in a serviced apartment such as Meriton, Adina, Fraser Suites, SKYE or Oaks, we can set a standing weekly or twice-weekly collection at a fixed window. It is our most-used arrangement in the CBD. Pricing stays per item rather than per pickup, so a light week costs less than a heavy one, and you can pause it for the weeks you are travelling without cancelling the arrangement.
Yes. Several of the CBD apartment towers run a reception counter or parcel room rather than a full concierge, and that works the same way for us. Leave the bag at the desk with your name and apartment number on it and we collect during the window you booked. If your building has no staffed desk at all, choose a timed window at checkout and meet the driver in the lobby. It takes under a minute.
We collect seven days a week, 7am to 7pm, including public holidays. Weekend demand in the CBD is a different shape to midweek. It is theatre guests near the Capitol and Pitt Street Mall shoppers who have bought something that needs steaming before dinner, rather than shirts and suits. Press and steam at $8.00 an item covers most of it, and express holds on weekends too.
In-room laundry bags in the CBD are usually priced per garment at a healthy margin and run on a fixed 24-hour cycle, with anything handed in after the morning cut-off returning the following day. We are priced from $6.50 an item for wash and fold and $15.00 for dry cleaning, with a flat $12 pickup and delivery and a six-hour express option. You also keep the same handover you are used to, because we work through the concierge rather than around them.
A standard three-night trip tends to be four or five shirts pressed and one suit dry cleaned. At $8.00 a shirt for press and steam, $15.00 for the jacket, $15.00 for the trousers and the flat $12 delivery, that lands around $75 to $85 all in, with no minimum order and no surcharge for a small bag. Stain treatment is $10.00 where it is needed, and we will tell you before we do it rather than after.
