Maroubra has no branded hotel. The accommodation here is short-stay apartments and beach houses, and the guests are surfers, families, and visitors overflowing from the Randwick and UNSW precincts when Coogee is full. Maroubra Beach was declared a National Surfing Reserve in 2006 — one of only a handful in the country — and a lot of what needs cleaning in this suburb comes back salty, sandy and still wet from a session that ran long.
Salt is the part people underestimate. Left in the fabric it dries hard, holds a smell that a rinse under the tap will not shift, and slowly wrecks the elastic in boardshorts and rash tops. We process beach and surf items separately from general washing for exactly that reason, and where a technical fabric should not go near detergent at all, rinse-only handling can be requested at checkout.
Without a concierge desk to work through, we book a direct handover window with you instead. Maroubra runs on our Coogee route about three kilometres north, so it is the same drivers, the same 7am to 7pm window and the same turnarounds: next day as standard, six hours on express. $12 flat pickup and delivery, no minimum order, hands-on garment care.

Serving guests across Maroubra
Our Maroubra coverage runs the length of Marine Parade and Maroubra Road, along Anzac Parade — the arterial into the city — and around McKeon Street, Mons Avenue and Cooper Street. We collect near Mahon Pool at Mistral Point, around Heffron Park and the Des Renford Leisure Centre, and along the Arthur Byrne Reserve beachfront down toward the South Maroubra surf club.
Like Coogee, Maroubra is bus-only. The tram line closed in 1961 and nothing replaced it, so Anzac Parade and the 396 and 397 do all the work of moving people the ten or so kilometres south-east from the city. That is the whole argument for a collection service here: the nearest alternative to a machine in your building is a bus with a bag of wet towels on your knee, and nobody's holiday improves for having done that.
The suburb is serviced off the Coogee pass, so the same drivers cover Coogee three kilometres north, Randwick about four kilometres north-west for the hospital and UNSW precincts, and Bondi Beach and Bondi Junction further up the coast. If Coogee was full and you ended up here, you are still on the same route.

Yes, and most Maroubra bags arrive that way. Damp towels and swimmers are fine for a same-day or next-day collection — separate them from anything dry if you can, and let us know at booking so they are processed first rather than sitting. If a bag is going to wait overnight before pickup, shake the sand out and leave it somewhere with air rather than sealed in plastic.
We are here daily on the Coogee run, about three kilometres north, within the standard 7am to 7pm window. Express is a six-hour turnaround from collection, so a morning handover comes back the same afternoon. Summer weekends fill first, so book the window the night before if you need express rather than next day.
Coogee, about three kilometres north — InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach, Adina Coogee, the Coogee Bay Hotel and Coogee Sands all take concierge collection on the same daily run. The Randwick serviced apartments, about four kilometres north-west, are the other option and suit longer stays near the hospitals and UNSW.
