When a fifteen-thousand-person congress is in town, our Wednesday looks nothing like our Monday.
Then the weekend flips the precinct on its head. SEA LIFE, WILD LIFE, Madame Tussauds and the Cockle Bay waterfront bring families, and families generate volume rather than urgency. A four-night holiday with two children produces a bag of washing, not a garment bag, and wash and fold at $6.50 an item with no minimum handles it without anyone having to find a laundromat on Day Street.

Worth knowing if you are comparing addresses: several hotels branded Darling Harbour are actually in Pyrmont, and several Pyrmont-branded ones sit on the Haymarket side.
