Hotel laundry and dry cleaning in Darlinghurst
Some guests here are three nights into a two-night stay on Oxford Street. Others are two weeks into a hospital visit they did not pack for. Both end up with the same bag of washing and no good way to deal with it. We collect from your hotel's front desk on Victoria Street and bring everything back cleaned and pressed.

Guest laundry in Darlinghurst
One suburb, two guest books, the same problem.
Darlinghurst runs two guest books at once. One is Oxford Street — boutique hotels, late nights, and a calendar that peaks hard around Mardi Gras in late February and early March. The other is St Vincent's Hospital, the Kinghorn Cancer Centre and the Garvan Institute, which generate steady, year-round stays from patients' families and visiting clinicians.
Those are very different guests with the same underlying problem: a stay longer than the clothes packed for it. HGL collects from your hotel's front desk on Victoria Street, Darlinghurst Road or William Street, and returns everything cleaned and pressed — no minimum order, no need to leave the suburb.
The hotels here are mostly small. Kirketon, Medusa, Manor House and the rest are boutique properties of thirty or forty rooms with no laundry operation behind them, and the pubs with rooms have less than that. None of that matters to a booking with us: we deal with whoever is on the desk, and the service costs the same whether your property has a concierge in a waistcoat or a publican pulling beers.
Hotels we service in Darlinghurst
Boutique hotels, apartment stays and pubs with rooms, collected daily between Hyde Park and Taylor Square.
If your hotel is not on this list, book anyway.
Darlinghurst has more small properties than any list can hold — thirty-room boutiques, apartments above shopfronts on Liverpool Street, and short-stay flats booked for hospital visits. Our drivers work the whole 2010 postcode on the Darlinghurst side, so book a pickup and enter the property name or the street address at checkout. Nothing about the price or the turnaround changes if your hotel has never heard of us. ---
Effortless for your guests
How a Darlinghurst pickup works
-
Book online
Property, service, collection window. Around two minutes, and no account to create.
-
Leave it at the front desk
Hand it over on your way down to Taylor Square or across to St Vincent's. Our driver collects from the desk, not from your room.
-
We clean it properly
Everything is assessed by fabric and care label first. Embellished, beaded and delicate pieces are handled individually rather than run through a bulk cycle.
-
Back to your hotel
Returned to reception pressed and bagged. Six hours on express, next day as standard, seven days a week.

Serving guests across Darlinghurst
Our Darlinghurst route runs Victoria Street, Darlinghurst Road, Oxford Street through Taylor Square, William Street, Liverpool Street and Stanley Street. We collect near St Vincent's Hospital and the Garvan Institute, around the National Art School in the old Darlinghurst Gaol, and across to the Hyde Park frontage on College Street. Kings Cross and Museum stations both sit inside the route.
If you are here for a hospital stay — your own or a family member's — say so when you book. Those stays are usually longer and less predictable than a hotel booking, and we can set a standing collection at a fixed weekly window rather than making you rebook each time. It is the single most common arrangement we run in this suburb, and it exists because nobody sitting in a ward at the Kinghorn wants to be thinking about a laundromat on Crown Street.
The suburb backs onto three of our other routes, and the same drivers cover all of them: Surry Hills over Bourke Street, Potts Point & Kings Cross at the top of Victoria Street, and Woolloomooloo down the hill toward the wharf.
Questions guests ask
Yes. Extended medical stays are a significant part of what we do in Darlinghurst. Tell us at booking and we will set a standing weekly or twice-weekly collection at a fixed window, priced per item rather than per pickup, so you are not rebooking every few days. If your plans change mid-stay, move or pause the window with a message rather than starting again.
Yes, seven days a week. Late February and early March are our busiest weeks in Darlinghurst, so book your collection window the night before. Costume and delicate garment care is assessed individually — flag anything embellished, beaded or sequinned at checkout so it goes to the right technician rather than into a general load.
Yes. Several Darlinghurst venues trade primarily as pubs and let rooms upstairs, and they are all on the daily run. Leave the bag with whoever is behind the bar or on the desk and note the venue name at checkout. Where there is nobody available during our window, we will arrange a direct handover time with you instead.
Either — they are collected by the same drivers on the same day. Victoria Street runs from Darlinghurst up into Potts Point without any practical break, and the 2010 and 2011 postcodes here are minutes apart. Enter the property name at checkout and we will assign the window; you will not be charged differently for being on the wrong side of a line.
Not in the slightest. Most Darlinghurst properties are boutiques of thirty or forty rooms with no laundry operation, and you do not need them to arrange anything or to be an HGL partner. Book with us directly, leave the bag at the desk, and we handle the rest. Every order carries hands-on garment care regardless of where you are staying.
Pricing is per item, not per week: $6.50 for wash and fold, $8.00 for press and steam, $10.00 for stain treatment and $15.00 for dry cleaning, plus a flat $12 delivery on each collection. For a long hospital-side stay the saving comes from batching — one weekly collection rather than three small ones — and you are invoiced after cleaning, before delivery.
